A Message from the Principal

May 23, 2021

Dear MCA Families,

This week is our last week of school for the 2020-2021 school year.  It has been a fun-filled year with a great deal of uncertainties, but the one thing for sure is that our students have persevered.

On Monday, we will begin collecting Chromebooks, Hotspots, and School Materials, from 7:30am – 3:00pm.  Please ensure that all materials and equipment that belongs to MCA are returned promptly.  Over the next several weeks, our IT department will be inspecting our Chromebooks to check for any damages.

We are excited to announce our MCA Summer Reading Program, July 12th – 22nd.  Please view the link for the information and Survey Application.  Spaces will be limited, so do not delay!

We will have our Kindergarten Graduation Parade on Thursday, May 27th, at 6:00pm.  See the letter below.

Please follow us on Instagram and Facebook at Monroe Charter Academy to stay updated on MCA’s most current news and events.

Sincerely,

Dr. Camela Ford, Principal

Congratulations to Ms. Lanzone! MCA wouldn’t be the same without you! Thank you for all you do for our students!

ABOUT KINDERGARTEN PROMOTION

Dear Parents,

Can you believe that it is time for Kindergarten graduation already? Time really does fly when you are having fun! Here is all of the information you will need for the kindergarten promotion ceremony on Thursday May 27, 2021 at 6 pm.

The celebration is a drive-thru ceremony and will begin at 6pm. Please do not start lining up until 5:45 pm. You will need to stay in your car for the entire ceremony but are able to decorate your vehicle, honk your horns, yell out the window, and do anything you may like that is safe to celebrate your graduate.

Once you turn on Quarry Road you will immediately turn right onto Lockhart Street to come up behind the church. That is where the line of cars will begin to line up. (you will look for the gate)  where there will be a sign, balloons, and a staff member to direct you up the gravel road where you will drive underneath the church and then onto Tomberlin Road into the school driveway and meet Dr. Ford and the kindergarten teachers.
After the ceremony of cars is complete you may park and take pictures with teachers if you wish to do so, but all of the cars need to go through first to ensure the safety of everyone.

We cannot wait to celebrate with you!

If you have any questions, please reach out to ashleigh.lanzone@mcalions.org or karen.stirnitzke@mcalions.org
