A Message from the Principal

May 9, 2021

Dear MCA Families,

We are completing the school year strong and getting ready for the move to our new building.  We have 15 more days until the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

Thank you, parents, for showing love and support to the teachers and staff at MCA during Teacher Appreciation Week.  We enjoyed our breakfast, lunch, sweets, and gifts.  We appreciate each of you.

Our 3rd and 4th grade scholars have been working extremely hard this week, preparing to take their EOG Reading and Math on May 18th and 19th.  Our K-2 Scholars will be taking their end-of-year assessments in Reading and Math to let us know their strengths and weaknesses.  Teachers will be using this data to let you know what area(s) your scholar will need to continue to work on over the summer in preparation for the upcoming school year.  Teachers are preparing summer learning packets sent home with each child to assist with continuous support and guidance over the summer.

We are excited to announce our MCA Summer Reading Program, July 12th – 22nd.  Please view the link for the information and Survey Application.  Spaces will be limited so do not delay! Click here for more information!

On June 12, please join us as we host our First Community Involvement Day at our new location, 2850 Old Charlotte Highway.  A signup genius will be sent via email to ask our parents and the community to come out and help us beautify our new campus and prepare for the 2021-2022 school year.

Please follow us on Instagram and Facebook at Monroe Charter Academy to stay updated on MCA’s most current news and events.
