Monroe Charter Academy is a new charter school located in Monroe, North Carolina
Monroe Charter Academy (Academy) is a new charter school located in Monroe, North Carolina serving the children of Union and surrounding counties. We serve over 200 children in grades K-6.
The Academy is managed by a board of directors and authorized by the NC State Board of Education. We are a free public school, open to all NC students, offering a classical style of education, a rigorous curriculum, and a focus on citizenship development.
We believe children may not be products of our environments as much as they are products of our expectations. Academic excellence, along with the development of the child’s character and life skills, will be our blended and uncompromising objectives. We will teach children classically, in the natural ways they want to learn, but with rigor. Our educators will maintain a purposeful cognizance of our academic goals and will deliver the education with undisguised love of their vocations and our children.
