Before & After School Care
The Superlatrives Clubs
The Superlative Club delivers a unique after school program where world-class Art practitioners work passionately with public school students between K – 8th Grade to improve their educational experiences through art. Students get exposed to different types of art that help expand on their creative elements, while parents have peace of mind knowing that their child is in a safe and productive learning environment.
To achieve this, we train our after-school Art instructors on classroom management, behavioral management, and parental communication, so they can teach their artistic talents in the most effective manner. Our training focuses on proven best practices that lead us to have an efficient and productive classroom.
Our classrooms consist of smaller group sizes where instructors can focus more on the individual needs of students and create experiences that students will remember for a lifetime!
School Supply Lists
The supplies your child needs for school are covered by a $50 technology fee and a $25 school supply fee due each August paid via the K12 Payment Center by clicking the following button.

Family Advisory Council (PTA)
Monroe Charter Academy recognizes the immense importance of the parental and familial voice in a scholar’s education. To this end, we have an active Family Advisory Council (FAC)
The primary goal of the FAC is to develop and enhance communication and involvement among Monroe Charter Academy’s families and the school staff and administration. The FAC is a network for parents to obtain relevant information and support their child’s education. Open communication and mutual respect are the foundations of the FAC. Monroe Charter Academy strongly believes that through the FAC and the activities of the Board of Directors, it can educate parents and the community about its values and work closely with both groups to attain its goals.
The FAC meets monthly with the Principal/Head of School. Specifically, the FAC focuses on mentoring projects, provides support for extra-curricular and extended classroom projects, school trips, recruitment of volunteers, clothing drives, Community Gatherings and other special events, and more. For more information, Contact Dr. Camela Ford at (980) 210-3627.

Emergency Lunch Procedure
We understand that sometimes lunches are forgotten or left at home. If you realize a lunch is missing and would like to bring lunch to your child, please bring the lunch to the front office by 11:00am each school day. In order to minimize classroom disruptions and protect the time of faculty and staff, we cannot guarantee that teachers will check for missing student lunches and contact you prior to the start of the lunch period.
MCA will keep a limited amount of emergency lunches on hand. Because we want to make sure every child is fed during the school day, if a student does not come to the lunchroom with a lunch or pre-purchased hot lunch, an emergency lunch will be given. An emergency lunch consists of a Lunchable, snack and bottled water. The cost of the lunch is $3.00 and all fees should be paid to the front office the next school day. You will be notified via email if an emergency lunch has been issued.
